Lauren Muratore - Director
Melbourne Sexologist, Clinical Accredited Sex Therapist & TEDx Speaker
Lauren Muratore is a Melbourne-based, clinically accredited psychosexual therapist, sexologist, TEDx speaker, educator, and medico-legal expert. Holding a master’s degrees and almost two decades of experience in sexual health and relationships, Lauren is accredited by the Society of Australian Sexologists (SAS) and is the recent Past National Chairperson of the Society of Australian Sexologists.
Lauren has helped thousands of individuals and couples navigate intimacy, desire, communication, and sexual wellbeing. She is known for combining evidence-based science with warmth, compassion, and authenticity; making conversations about sex feel approachable, practical, and free from shame. Her mission is simple: to normalise conversations about sexuality, challenge outdated beliefs, and empower people to build healthier, more connected relationships.
Lauren works with adults of all genders, sexual orientations, relationship structures, and cultural backgrounds. Her inclusive, trauma-informed, kink-aware, and sex worker-affirming approach creates a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their sexuality with confidence and clarity.
She has a particular interest in helping people with:
Desire discrepancies and low libido
Communication and emotional intimacy
Sexual initiation and maintaining passion in long-term relationships
Erectile dysfunction and sexual confidence
Performance Anxiety
Opening relationships and consensual non-monogamy
Polyamory
Kink and fetish exploration
Postpartum sexuality and identity
Sexual wellbeing across different life stages
Lauren believes there is no single “right” way to experience intimacy or relationships. Every individual and every partnership is unique. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, she helps clients understand their unique intimate blueprint, strengthen emotional and sexual connection, and create relationships that align with their own values, not society’s expectations.
Beyond private practice, Lauren is a sought-after keynote speaker, educator, podcast host, and media commentator. She regularly presents to health professionals, organisations, universities, and corporate audiences, translating the science of sexuality and relationships into engaging, practical conversations. She has appeared across television, radio, print, podcasts, and digital media as a trusted expert on relationships, intimacy, sexuality, and human behaviour.
Lauren also provides independent medico-legal opinions and expert witness services in matters involving sexuality, relationships, and psychosexual functioning. Her work in legal settings reflects the depth of clinical expertise, objectivity, and professionalism she brings to every aspect of her practice.
Whether working with therapy clients, educating professionals, speaking on stage, or contributing expert opinion, Lauren’s goal remains the same: to help people understand themselves more deeply, communicate more effectively, and experience more fulfilling relationships.
