Lauren Muratore (she/her) is an experienced, educated, and clinically accredited Sexologist with the Society of Australian Sexologist. She is an inclusive Melbourne psychosexual therapist and believes sexuality should be celebrated, healthy, and positive. Lauren’s non-judgmental approach above all creates a safe space for individuals and couples from any gender, sexual identity, and background.
For close to a couple decades now, she has worked with men and woman on a myriad of sexual health issues. These experiences, and her qualifications give Lauren unique insight into sexuality; explicitly helping clients find their sexually honest, happy existence. She has the ability to make the sex therapy process a lot less daunting. Normalising sexuality and the many facets undeniably never goes astray.
Lauren’s passion is working with relationships on communication (both in and out of the bedroom), sexual initiation, libido & sexual style differences, opening relationships safely, and repairing infidelity. She is also passionate about working with kinks and fetishes, polyamory/open relationships, understanding a loss in libido, erectile dysfunction, and regaining a sexual self postpartum. Lauren is kink aware, trauma informed, and a sex worker ally.
In essence, Lauren believes in assisting individuals to become the best sexual version of themself as possible. Every relationship is different, and so is each individual. When working with couple(s), she aims to gain an understanding on what your goals are and what is important to the relationship. Not every relationship has to follow societal constructs. Furthermore, what works for one couple in the sexual arena doesn’t necessarily work for everyone.
As a mother of two children under 5 years old, (In her very limited spare time) Lauren enjoys fitness, collecting vinyl, bush walking, and of course reading about sexuality & psychology.
